AdvertisementMindy Wight, CEO of the Squamish development group building Sen̓áḵw, called it "the creation of a modern Squamish village" in an interview with Business Insider. Canada's federal auditor general recently condemned a "distressing and persistent pattern of failure" by federal programs designed to support First Nations housing and infrastructure, among other services. The housing projects aren't the only major developments underway on indigenous land in Canada. There are no housing or infrastructure developments on US tribal land that match the scale of the First Nations projects in Canada. While some Native American tribes have spearheaded significant housing projects, most indigenous-owned land in the US isn't in the most valuable housing markets.

Reviews for the Tesla Cybertruck are positive — so far. AdvertisementOfficial reviews for Tesla's Cybertruck are rolling in, and so far, the hulking stainless steel truck is largely living up to the hype. The complaints, much like the truck itself, are rather unique compared to a typical pickup-truck review. "You'll need thick skin if you own one, especially if you post photos of it online where the trolls are especially toxic," Elliot wrote. AdvertisementHave you driven the Tesla Cybertruck yet?

Opinion: ‘Boysober’ comes with some baggage

Are you sure you’re doing the right thing? Whereas “self-partnered’ connotes a vague but cheerful sense of romantic self-care, “boysober” very obviously comes with baggage. To get painfully literal about it: The existence of “boysober” implies the existence of “boydrunk.” Going boysober, one can therefore assume, isn’t just about celibacy or a break from dating. Woodard gets into this in a YouTube video she’s posted ahead of a podcast series on her boysober project. Even if you’re not wholly sure what you’re doing, claiming some agency over that process is reassuring.

They have a stunt guy there ready to do some of this stuff,” Renner told CNN in an interview this week. “It’s like there’s no way I’m gonna be able to do this. “Ultimately, that’s what the commercial is representing is to feel good and that I feel good and the song I’m singing is ‘I Feel Good,’” he said. “I was inspired a lot by my family and by all the different milestones in my recovery,” Renner said.

I have no hangups about height (my wheelchair is height-adjustable), and I am not looking for a man who shares my every interest. Still, being thought of as picky is far preferable to being thought of as undesirable. None have fancied me back — or at least, none have dared to admit a crush on the disabled girl. It turns out, Cambridge men and French business school men are the same — lovely to a fault, happy to be our friends (sometimes suggesting more), but never crossing the line. The part of me posting proudly about disability on Instagram says that my disability doesn’t make me any less datable — or lovable.
Drop any Wall Street (or non-Wall Street) questions you have for me here. A quick refresher: JPMorgan accused Javice of juicing Frank's customer numbers in a lawsuit filed at the end of last year. Prosecutors charged Javice with wire fraud affecting a financial institution, securities fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy. I've joked about it before, but Taylor Swift really should teach a class on this stuff for Wall Street. It's not the president or Wall Street or Congress that's to blame.
New York CNN —Forecasts from Walmart and Home Depot made for a grim day of trading on Tuesday. The mega retailers’ predictions of a weakening economy and a dip in consumer spending this year sent markets tumbling as Wall Street seemed to realize that the Federal Reserve’s campaign to quell inflation could yet lead to recession. What’s happening: We’ve written about the remarkable strength of the US consumer quite a bit here at Before the Bell. Consumer spending accounts for about 70% of America’s gross domestic product, the broadest measure of the US economy, so it’s nearly impossible for the economy to enter a recession as long as consumer spending is growing. American shoppers have almost single-handedly kept the US economy afloat by continuing to shell out cash for purchases despite stubbornly high inflation.

Industry insiders shared their views on what tech companies could reach super app status in the US. Cornerstone Advisors' Ron Shevlin doesn't think the US will have a single super app. The race to build a so-called financial super app is well underway, and some industry insiders are already placing their bets. A super app is essentially a one-stop shop for users' financial needs and beyond, providing multiple services and products — including savings, investing, and shopping tools — all in one place. It is an opportunity, I think, for them to become a super app.
